  • The MacArthur family's establishment is simply amazing. There is space to explore, decent sites, recreations, friendly staff and much more. LOCATION: Fisherman's Cove is located adjacent to Black Horse Golf Resort. It is also nested in the centre of Southern Ontario's hidden gems. This includes the towns of Lucknow, Kincardine and Ripley, all 15-20 minutes away. SITES: There are numerous different sites for use in Fisherman's Cove. The most basic are the camp sites, in the most forested part of the park. Next are the overnight sites for trailers, for various sizes. There are the park model sites, coming in both rental and permanent types. Last but not least, there is a small number of cabins. RECREATION: Kids will be very delighted to be here, as there a numerous playgrounds, a giant chessboard, giant shuffleboard, and more. There are nature trails, but I would not recommend going to them as they are uninteresting, and confusing. For those of all ages, there is of course the small beach, as well as pools/hot tubs. Other attractions include the large convenience store, board game hall, table tennis, volley ball and basketball courts. Coming from personal experience, cycling around the park is fantastic. There are twists and turns, and speed limits for cars, making for a great ride. WILDLIFE: Mosquitoes are a nuisance, but this is probably the same for all parks. Fishing is quite okay, although it is lacking in some respects. Mostly sunfish, but also the uncommon bass. Other animals are plenty. Frogs and toads tend to hop around the roads at sundown. There are snakes, but in all my encounters they prefer to flee. If you are lucky, in the evening you will encounter one of the lake's snapping turtles, huge beasts. Small yellow-bellied sliders are also present. Ducks, Geese, Swans and other birdlife are very common in the park. At night, dear, raccoons and large mammals tend to come out to feed. -A summer resident

  • Our first visit to Fisherman's Cove few weeks back was amazing!! This campground sets the Bar very high from other campsites. Trust me we have travelled extensively and own a 37 ft. RV. and have not found a resort like this one (except for Fort Wilderness at Disney Resort Florida) So that shows you how high the standards are at Fisherman's Cove. The owners are very kind and take time for their guests. This park is one of the cleanest we have ever seen. If there was a 6 Star rating they deserve it. To sum it up, We were so impressed with our first visit we ended up buying a modular trailer on one of the sites 3 days after our stay. We cant wait to come back to our home away from home Cavdek/Dickson Family

  • Great spot for family, friends and fishing. Was a bit disappointed that when visiting friends with a trailer, that we were subject to a $20 per vehicle visitors fee after they have paid park fees for the year.
